My mother and grand mother says and said "when you cook food, cook with love" and I never understood
Til now, when grown. Now I'm not in a hurry cooking, I dont throw things around in the kitchen and whats left is just lots of dishes and a strange feeling of "what just happened", I let it take the time it needs and I do it with care for both the food it self and they who eats it.
What I found out was that food cooked the time it needs to be cooked and with the love and respect it deserves, tastes better and gives me a better feeling after eating it.
A couple of tips when cooking (the three important p's and the big L) to make it easier for you
- Plan - if you can, plan a week ahead, this way you know what to do and when to do so you dont need to feel the pressure or stress of cooking. If you plan for it, it will be so much easier
- Purchase - go to your favorite store(s) or supermarket(s), dont be afraid to speak to butchers or the sales team and see to it that the give you the service and food of the high quality that you deserve.
- Prepare - Since you have planned so well and for a whole week, prepare everything the day before or the same day. See to it that you got everything needed for the meal your cooking so you dont have to look for it
- Love - your food, give it the herbs, the seasoning and scents of the highest possible quality and learn to cook everything from the ground, it will be worth it!
And of course, after cooking with love, invite some good friends, the family or loved ones to the table and enjoy
